I live in Ohio, and we have this big thunderstorm going through right now, and ever time there's a big crackle, I think of vampires. It's so dark now I'm waiting for a Volvo to drive by or a unbelievably handsome perfect young man to walk down the street and dazzle me with his pale skin and perfect features.

TWILIGHT stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have become bigger than the parts they play in the film series.
The novels and the first movie portray a powerful and awkward romance, a forbidden love of teenage desires, between schoolgirl Bella Swan and vampire Edward Cullen.
Fans are eagerly awaiting the second movie, New Moon, in November, and we've just heard that the third movie begins filming next month.
But the feeding frenzy of rumour and gossip surrounding the lead stars and their personal lives is now becoming ridiculous and is draining all the life from the series.
The franchise may be about bloodsuckers, but the gossip writers are even greater vampires, feeding on Twilight, Pattinson and Stewart till the rest of us are totally turned off.
It's become a horror story of rampant rumour that is making the franchise seem less and less appealing by the day. Many movie sites are now avoiding Twilight news altogether - and who can blame them.
'Kristen Stewart dating Robert Pattinson' has been the claim by several sites for some time now. 'Kristen Stewart pregnant with Robert Pattinson's child' screamed almost 200 headlines the other day, though she apparently denied it all via Twitter, and then a day or so later it was 'Robert Pattinson has dumped Kristen for his Remember Me co-star Emilie de Ravin'.
So real life is nothing like the tender romance of the stories. A great message of morality for the teenage fans of the series: get pregnant, get dumped.
Predictably, with a new Potter movie on the horizon, we've heard Pattinson isn't still friends with Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe. (Pattinson had starred alongside Radcliffe when he played Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, reprising the role briefly in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix)
And we now hear that Sacha Baron Cohen's ghastly new character Bruno wants to wrap his thighs around the 23-year-old heart-throb. Oh, and in case we cared, Kristen Stewart is flooded with hate mail from Pattinson fans. Apparently. Whatever.
I've watched these ridiculous reports unfold and fly across the internet and I keep hoping it will at least calm down if not stop altogether. In the beginning it was fun and fascinating and even I covered some of the more lightweight Twilight news items earlier on, but now it's just too much.
By the time New Moon comes out, there's a danger we'll all be sick and tired of the Twilight franchise.
I should add that I saw Twilight recently on Blu-ray and really enjoyed it - I will be giving a detailed review of all its strengths and weaknesses shortly, so check back for that.
In the meantime, I'm asking what Twilight fans and other readers think. Have we had enough of this Twilight gossip garbage?

I agree with the article in some for, but will not go into details in how I agree.

Robert Pattinson used to encourage fans giving them a fan, a picture, an autograph but now he's afraid to give them a hand in fear they'll take an arm. He loves the fans and always wants to make them happy, but not at his own expense. Insiders say he very much wishes the calm and non-physical fans in London. Resepct Rob, please?

Q: Your previous films centered on vampires, skateboarders, biblical figures and students. The "The Nativity Story" spoke to Reuters about connecting with teecommon denominator is the main characters are all teenagers. Why is that?
A: It's definitely a time in everybody's life that's extremely memorable, painful and exiting. It's one of our most dramatic times where we suddenly grow breasts or hair on our chest. We are able to kiss a boy or a girl and drive a car, drink and figure out who we are as a person and where we fit in the world. Great dramatic material happens in a coming of age story and there are so many possibilities. Plus teenagers are also the people who will actually get up off their couches and go to a movie theater.

Q: You obviously have a knack for dealing with teens.
A: I have to say.I respect all the teenagers I work with and feel that everything they have to say is just as valuable as anything My first movie was written with a 13-year-old girl (Nikki Reed on "Thirteen"). It was about her life so she knew more about that than I did. We can learn from everybody.

Q: "Twilight" cost $37 million and made nearly $382 million worldwide. Do you feel pressure to top yourself?
A: I don't think that's possible, and I don't think that's a healthy way to think. "Twilight" was a phenomenon -- the stars just aligned on that film. Thank God (director) Ridley Scott didn't stop after "Blade Runner." He made "Thelma and Louise" and "Gladiator" and a million other interesting movies. I still want to make other good films that won't lose money.

Q: How have things changed for you since "Twilight"?
A: Right now I can say in a meeting: 'Well on 'Twilight' this is how we did it and this is how we made it work.' And people go, 'Oh wow, that movie made money.' They listen to me a little bit more than before.

Renesmee Slideshow

So, we all had our visions of what Renesmee would look like, exagerated or not. When reading an article on The Examiner, I noticed they had a slideshow of parent's children pictures who believe their child looks like Renesmee. I like them all very much except for 3. They would all be very perfect for Renesmee. The ones that screamed Nessie at me were 2, 5, and 6. They all look very Nessie like.
