Enjoying a weekend break from filming duties, Dakota Fanning was spotted
out and about in Vancouver, Canada on Saturday (August 22).The 15-year-old
actress is in town filming the thirrd installment of the “Twilight” saga
“Eclipse,” in which she plays a character named Jane.Always in high demand, Miss fanning is
also rumored to be the leading candidate to star in a sequel to “The Wizard of
Oz”.According to insider reports, Dakota “is set to take the lead in a follow-up
to the classic 1939 movie that shot Judy Garland to fame.”Of the film, producer
Basil Iwanyk tells, “It will be set in the present day and feature Dorothy’s
granddaughter.”Meanwhile, co-producer Todd McFarlane adds, “You’ve still got
Dorothy trapped in an odd place, but she’s much closer to the Ripley character
from Alien than a helpless singing girl.”
